Sometimes it can be difficult to raise a child on your own and take care of business at the workplace. Focusing too much on your job will create a distance between you and your loved ones. Focusing too much on your family can also prevent you from getting work done and could lead to losing the primary source of income. There is a balance for taking care of both of these aspects of life.
When at work, try to avoid working overtime for consecutive weeks. This does not mean to stop at all. You can still work a few extra hours every once in a while, but be sure to have enough time to be there for the special moments of your family.
You may have to work smarter at work in order to manage your time. Find ways to quickly and efficiently handle all of your duties so that you can leave your work at a timely manner whenever it is possible. Keep an organized schedule to know when tasks are to be completed, and when you have time to talk to your family.
Your children and family need to understand that a job is necessary to keep food n the table. You need to communicate often with your family to let them know that you are working so that they don't have to go through as many hardships. Communication is important.
